Description of the tool

The “Handbook on Gender and Diversity in Teaching” targets teaching staff of the University for Continuing Education Krems and everyone involved in shaping and designing courses. Its contents are geared towards teaching which is sensitive to and aware of gender and diversity issues, covering teaching fundamentals, relevant objectives, core principles as well as areas of reference and approaches.

 

The handbook is intended to create a common baseline for all teaching while simultaneously facilitating teaching with competences in gender and diversity.

 

The aim is to further develop a culture of teaching and learning at the University of Continuing Education Krems which is conducive to the equality of opportunities and to increase the proportion of gender and diversity related study contents.

 

The Handbook was published in November 2020
