Description of the tool
The guideline “Assessing competencies in gender and diversity” is intended to support the operationalization of competencies in gender and diversity throughout the manifold assessment processes at the university. These include, for example, the appointment of professors; the selection of assessors, advisory board members and external teachers.
The guideline presented addresses anyone involved in designing and executing these types of decision making and assessment processes. It contains foundational definitions of gender, diversity, gender and diversity competencies, an introduction to the different levels of as well as approaches to assessing and reviewing competencies in gender and diversity as well as a check list.
